Version 2024.04, April 2024
New Features
Akselos Modeler Version 2024.04 introduces these user-focused features:
1.
Akselos Modeler: Facilitating the management of simulation models through the centralization of material and cross-section definitions for enhanced efficiency and coherence.
2.
Solver: Enabling the simulation of mechanical seals using gasket material model in FEA solve, especially for flange connections with bolts.
3.
Solver: Implementation of large strain shell plasticity to enhance the precision of structural analysis for thin-walled components undergoing significant deformations.
4.
Solver: Enabling the exportation of reaction forces and moments from within a component, facilitating the determination of critical time steps essential for Plate Buckling Check assessment of Floating Wind assets.
5.
Solver: Enabling the exportation of total lateral pressure applied to shell surfaces, facilitating the Plate Buckling Check assessment of both Floating Wind and FPSO assets.
6.
Solver: Enabling RBE3 connections where the independent nodes are aligned, generalizing the possible structures that can be connected with an RBE3 constraint.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
Akselos Modeler Version 2024.04 contains the following bug fixes and improvements:
1.
Modeler – Improving the efficiency of hydrodynamic pressure mapping across various formats including OrcaWave, Wamit, WaveLoadFD, and WADAM for FPSO and Floating Wind assets. Additionally, the hydrodynamic pressure plugin enables visualization of panel normal vectors for verification purposes.
2.
Modeler – Stress linearization tool now supports converting stress tensor to a given local coordinate system.
3.
Modeler – The capability to store temperature profiles in NPZ format has been implemented, enhancing the flexibility in dynamically adjusting temperature profiles during real-time monitoring.
4.
Several additional bug fixes and improvements.
